19 July 2021By Malcolm MacLean The 28.47 metre Viking sportfish yacht Book Ends, listed for sale by Thom Conboy and Chris Collins at Denison Yachting, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Jeff Stanley of Gilman Yachts.
Built in GRP by US yard Viking, she was delivered in 2017 as a Viking 93 enclosed flybridge model and features a beam of 7.41 metres and a maximum draft of 1.8 metres. Accommodation is for up to ten guests split between five cabins, including a master suite, VIP suite, a double and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities. Meanwhile, the crew quarters allow for a staff of up to three people. Book Ends was asking $8,500,000.The main deck saloon offers a U-shaped seating area with two end tables, a cocktail table, an entertainment centre including a pop-up 65-inch flatscreen HD television set and a formal dining area for eight. Starboard­ side hydraulic-powered sliding doors lead to a teak-covered side deck, and a powered balcony door that opens outboard with the touch of a button. Forward, the galley has the pleasant atmosphere of a country kitchen where four fixed bar stools with footrests rim an island Caesarstone-topped counter. The enclosed bridge, accessed from the salon and lower aft deck, showcases an impressive centre helm with a Stidd helm chair and flanking Stidd companion seats. Her twin 1,920hp MTU V12 2000 M96L engines can deliver a maximum range of 450 nautical miles when cruising at 23 knots. For maximum comfort she is fitted with Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers.
Book Ends was asking $8,500,000.
