Later this summer the new Silent 60 with a kitewing will also arrive at Port Adriano.“Our new base is like our second home”, said Michael Köhler, Silent-Yachts Founder and CEO. “Mallorca and the Balearics in general are popular yachting destinations, sunny, warm, with clean azure seas and many amazing places that have to be visited on board a yacht. The new office helps us keep our solar electric catamarans close to our clients and partners – we’re always open for a chat, visit or sea trial.”Another office will be opened in the US. In order to get closer to customers, the shipyard’s exclusive US distributor Edward Sacks sets up a branch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the yachting capital of the Western Hemisphere. “Florida is the hot spot for the US yachting enthusiasts and we’re happy to take a seat in the region,” said Michael Köhler. “The location is close to the site of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, it has direct water access and a comfortable conference room for product demonstrations.”Silent-Yachts is producing the world’s first fully solar-sustainable oceangoing production catamaran yachts. They are powered exclusively by solar energy and capable of cruising up to 100 miles per day. In 2009, founders Heike and Michael Köhler, who have spent 6,000 days cruising more than 75,000 miles all around the world, launched the Solarwave 46, the first fully self-sufficient blue-water catamaran after years of testing solar-powered propulsion, and they have been building boats ever since. The Sanlorenzo 52Steel superyacht has been launched in La Spezia. The sixth 52Steel, metal model with a length of 52m and five decks, under 500GT. The 52Steel offers large indoor and outdoor spaces, with design solutions normally found on models of much bigger size.Among the revolutionary features of 52Steel, which have led to many important prizes and honors, there is the entire stern area: the swimming pool with its transparent bottom, on the main deck, allows light to pass into the space below, a large floodable garage that converts into a beach area that can be expanded thanks to folding terraces. Elegant 52Steel also stands out for its large glass surfaces that bring natural light to the interiors, while at the same time reinforcing the connection with the sea, opening the yacht to the world outside. The refined outdoor areas of this sixth unit are combined with interiors in a modern, sophisticated style, designed by the architect Tiziana Vercellesi who, by request of the owner, has played with a combination of very different materials: fine wood varieties in contrasting tones, nabuk and leathers to clad ceilings and walls, marble and onyx with precious grain, and Venini chandeliers designed specifically for this vessel. The 52Steel can accommodate up to 12 guests across five staterooms and will be operated by a crew of nine. She has a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots, and a 4,400 nautical mile range.Sanlorenzo was founded in 1985 in Viareggio by yacht builder Gionvanni Jannetti. ISA Super Sportivo 100ft GTO is the new silver colour arrow with a sporty design featuring a carbon fibre infused hull combined with a lightweight carbon superstructure. The 30m yacht Aldabra was launched this May and today the shipyard has shared new details. The yacht was at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona. Marco Casali (Too Design) looked after both the exterior and the interior, liaising with the carbon fibre specialized staff of the site technical office. The sleek lines are emphasized by the high deep-V shaped bow and by the profile that drops rapidly down to the stern. The deckhouse has a pronounced sheer line that perfectly matches the large double-curved front windows of 5 sq. m each, divided by the gull-wing door to access the cockpit. The interior, available in several options from three to five guest cabins in addition to the two crew cabins accommodating four people with separate access from the cockpit, are totally customizable and characterized by a design aimed to maximise light and confer an iconic architecture on spaces. Aldabra has five double cabins with private bathrooms. The full-beam owner cabin is located amidships and has a double bathroom with a central pass-through shower. The cockpit and lower deck finishes are in leather, carbon and steel to enhance the modern, clean and essential style of the whole project. Great attention has been paid to the light design using integrated LED strips to highlight specific details. The 4m tender is housed in the aft garage and can be hauled/ launched through a tender slide system with a winch. ISA Super Sportivo 100ft GTO is also equipped with a transformer and a Seakeeper 35 for maximum comfort on board.Performance is certainly the main ingredient thanks to her three 2,000 hp MAN engines and hydrojet propulsion which, during the first sea trials, allowed to reach a maximum speed of 55 knots. Therefore, this model becomes fully part of the worldwide fastest boats currently on the market in this category.Aldabra will premiere during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021.Palumbo Superyachts began to take root in 2008, when the Columbus Yachts brand was established, and in 2011 launched its first 54 meter superyacht, emblematically christened “Prima” (“the First”).
