The launch ceremony of the new RSY 38m EXP took place in the presence of the owners and their family on 31 May 2021. Since the sales contract was signed, Rosetti Superyachts has worked closely with the owners, who are involved in all phases of construction, interior design and the selection of accessories. This journey commenced with the keel laying In May 2019 and now, two years later, the technical launch has taken place. “This launch represents an important milestone both for Rosetti Superyachts and for Rosetti Marino Group”, says Chairman and CEO of Rosetti Superyachts Ermanno Bellettini. The shipyard called it its first pleasure yacht for a reason – she has a strong personality and was made in partnership with Hydro Tec and BurdissoCapponi Yachts&Design. The RSY 38m EXP is 37.83m long, with an 8.85m beam, an impressive 410 Gross Tonnage and two MAN D2868 LE 425 (588kW) engines. The form and styling of the Hylas 57 makes this yacht a real headturner. The fundamental design – windshield and the innovative social spaces in the cockpit and aft deck – has proven to be an immediate winner. But Hylas feels that the interior build quality and styling is worth as much consideration as the performance of the yacht, after all you buy a house based on features and location but what makes it a home is what you do with the interior.Hylas 57 exterior In recent years there have been huge developments in design software and the introduction of synthetic materials that hold up well in the marine environment. The possibilities are becoming almost impossibly infinite. The question then is how to help owners buying the new models to appreciate these possibilities without the benefit of multiple preceding builds. The answer comes from an introduction to Hot Lab, an interior yacht design house based in Italy. They are well established in the super yacht world and have been working with Hylas for close to five years. Main salon The owners of hull #3 of the H57, are no strangers to the value an award winning interior designer can bring to the project. They have given Hot Lab a fairly open brief and, between the concept drawings and mood boards developed by Hot Lab, have come up with an interior that is quite striking. The interior is clearly "designer" and befitting a yacht that brings a new level enhanced lifestyle to the performance cruiser market.Salon and galleyWith final "sign off" in place, the factory has been busy sourcing fabrics, woods, cutting surfaces, designer fixtures and fittings from around the globe. Andy Huang, Hylas Yachts CEO, recognizes the complexity in a project like this but there is also a good deal of learning and opportunities to engage with suppliers that may be called upon with a future build. Master suite "There is nothing more exciting than seeing a truly spectacular yacht coming to life in our facilities,” said Andy Huang. “This is something that is only really possible if the yard is heavily vested in the brand. We will never compromise on quality. We recognize there will be new materials and manufacturing techniques and, as this is a showcase concept, we are willing to put in the time to ensure a Hylas quality finish. It's good to have one of these detailed concept designs for each new model as it will help our future clients to make their own decisions."Main salon The design consideration does not end with the interior and in fact it spills out to align the exterior of the yacht. The coloring of the rig, hardtop and hull is all coordinated to fit the Hot Lab color palette. Even selecting the most suitable color for the sails that are available from North in their latest 3di sail material, has been taken into consideration. The Queen Long Marine shipyard, founder and owner of the Hylas Yachts brand since 1985, has produced sailboats for over 40 years. Located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the shipyard is equipped with reliable equipment and expert engineering, all while blending comfort and style to meet even the most stringent cruising needs. The design team features renowned naval architects such as Sparkman & Stephens, German Frers, Bill Dixon, and Dean Salthouse. The shipyard is constantly working on new design turn-out, with our most recent range innovation being thanks to collaborations with Zurn Yacht Design (US) and Hot Lab (Italy). Credits: Hylas Yachts

The Lion (previously known as hull 10233) hit the water at the shipyard's facility in La Spezia on June 3. The yacht is destined for a South American shipowner and she is currently under construction at the shipyard in La Spezia with the supervision of Tommaso Bilotta of Camper & Nicholsons, as owner’s technical advisor and project manager. The exterior bears the sign of Francesco Paszkowski Design and presents stylistic and functional improvements compared to her sisterships, the motor yachts Andiamo and Silver Fox.The ‘sober, calmness and elegance’ interior is made by the Baglietto Interior Design Team in collaboration with Leonardo Santi. The third hull of the successful Baglietto displacement traditional line has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. It offers incredible volumes and outside areas that are both exquisite and unique – including a vast 140 sq m sun deck. The stern has a fantastic pool with tanning beds. A wide sun-bathing area is located forward to this deck. The rounded shape of this deck offers a 360-degree view that is enhanced by glass bulwarks. As per the owner’s request, a crystal lift connects the decks, including the sun deck.Compared to her two sisterships, this model has a different layout for the upper deck, which offers more space to the sky lounge and extends to the outside thanks to a semi-circular window. This layout creates a winter garden that houses a comfortable dining table for 12 guests. The large, full-height windows with no obstructions both on this deck and the main deck allow natural light to enter and provide a direct connection to the sea.Another exciting feature is the lower deck’s layout, which includes two large double cabins that can be transformed into four double cabins thanks to a sliding partition wall. This feature was explicitly requested by the owner, who now has three real master suites. Finally, the aft 46 sq m beach area includes a relaxation space and a spa with a fully equipped gym. The tenders and two jet skis are found at the bow.The motorization with MTU 12V2000M72 allows her to cruise at a maximum speed of 15 knots and 11 knots of cruising speed.Baglietto Spa is Italian boat builder based in La Spezia and specializes in the construction of new aluminum light alloy yachts ranging between 35m and 50m in length and steel and light aluminum alloy displacement mega-yachts starting 40m.Credits: Baglietto

The 10m Foiler, the ‘Flying Yacht’, is a true boat for the 21st century. She was designed and produced by Enata Marine and is able to ride 1.5m above the waves at 40 knots in complete comfort thanks to a revolutionary retractable foiling system. But the Foiler’s cutting-edge design and performance required an equally sophisticated onboard management system for total navigational control and a seamless user experience. The Wingman software package is able to manage and optimise every aspect of the yacht’s operation, from CO2 emissions and fuel consumption to the angle and loads on the foils. The stylish dashboard interface provides detailed data on all the most important information such as speed, engine revs and fuel consumption, as well as the anchor, lighting and tank systems. The clear graphic layout can be taken in at a glance even at high speeds and a carousel controller provides access to more data by simply swiping and clicking on it.The data from the sensors being run through the software is constantly monitored to develop diagnostics that facilitate preventative maintenance via a check-up program that also alerts the user if there are any changes in the day-to-day state of the systems. Enata Marine can even monitor the boat over the cloud, issue health reports and notify the boat owner when a visit from a technician is due. “You may be doing some things too late and others you don’t need too,” says Aloïs Vieujot, Enata Director. “The system will advise when it’s time for specific maintenance work, which means less yard time and lower running costs.”The heart of the system is Enata’s microcontroller, which allows the Wingman system to ‘learn’ from previous conditions. Part of the Wingman is a computer that stores all the telemetry and sends it to the cloud.“Owners can download over-the-air software updates and choose to share the yacht’s data with us on the cloud, so if there’s an issue we can first try to resolve it ourselves remotely. Our experience is that most of the issues can actually be resolved over the air, which is a lot cheaper and a significantly improved customer experience,” says Aloïs. “A lot of functions can also be operated using a smartphone, such as turning on the engines, changing the speed and heading, and engaging the autopilot.” Data analysis results in tools for optimising performance and running the onboard systems. About 300 values are shared at a rate of 100Hz (32,000 samples/second), producing a wealth of information that can be used to help minimise fuel consumption. Enata Marine is also working to introduce upgrades that further enhance stability to further improve comfort in rough seas.“For example, the boat was most fuel efficient when foiling at around 27 knots when the consumption used to be 2.5 litres per nautical mile,” says Aloïs. “With all the data we collect, we’ve since managed to tweak that and it’s now 2 litres per nautical mile, and this is continuously improving. Instead of having a boat that becomes obsolete with time, your Foiler is always benefiting from the latest improvements.”The smart efficiency and user-friendly design of the Wingman system is such that Enata Marine has been approached by other interests in the marine sector, including boat builders, engine manufacturers, fleet managers in the oil & gas industry and coastguard services. However, it is equally applicable to other yachts and the company plans to make the system available to other boat owners as a standalone package. With its factory in the United Arab Emirates, Enata boasts a 75,000 sq.ft top-notch yard which hosts its three divisions: Enata Marine, Enata Aerospace and Enata Architecture. Enata Marine is located in Sharjah and offers a wide range of solutions: from cruising catamarans to flying yachts and mega yachts. Credits: Enata Marine
