Evo V8 is the new project by Blu Emme Yachts brand Evo Yachts. It’s exclusive new flagship, the 24m yacht, initially known as the Velar 78 concept and today officially called Evo V8, is the first model in the new V line and a highly original proposal that will amaze the market with all its innovative features. Evo V8 was designed like a Russian matryoshka doll, hiding many surprises inside. While the designer and shipyard promise to reveal all these secrets when the yacht is officially presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, some first glimpses can already be seen in the newly released renders of the vessel. For Blu Emme Yachts, the shipyard behind the Evo Yachts brand, the realisation of this model and the new product line is a major watershed. With a design penned by Valerio Rivellini, Evo V8 springs from the desire to find the point of intersection between suggestions from the two worlds of sailing and motor yachts, with the aim of taking the best of both and revolutionising the cruising experience. There are a remarkable four helm stations – the first station on the main deck forward of the main salon and the second on the rooftop, fitted with a retractable steering console, are joined by two yacht wheels on the port and starboard sides of the main deck. A clear reference to the world of sailing, they are an invitation to enjoy cruising in close contact with the water, as well as being very practical when manoeuvring. The space between the two helm wheels is completely empty, but the side seats and the couches around them invite socialising between the driver and their guests, something that isn’t usually possible on a motor yacht. The particularly innovative layout of Evo V8, which sets it apart from other boats on the market in the same category, is even clearer to see in the beach area, which can be provided with direct access from the master stateroom at the owner’s request. The beach area is an open space on the water, just 70 cm above the waterline, designed to be able to enjoy seamless contact with nature and an unbroken 180-degree panoramic view, thanks to hull sides that open, eliminating all visual barriers and conveying the sensation of being at one with the surrounding environment. Evo V8 has a fully customizable layout. The first unit has three cabins sleeping seven and a cabin for the crew of two. The lower deck contains the master stateroom, two guest cabins and a crew cabin. On the main deck, a spacious salon with a dining area is surrounded by big windows that can be lowered almost entirely for even more contact with the outside environment and to limit the use of the air conditioning (an option that makes Evo V8 even more like a 24m open with hard top). Evo V8 will be launched in the coming months and handed over to her Italian owner. Blu Emme Yachts’ growth strategy also provides for a strengthening of its international dealership network with new partners and service centres. It has always been the Yard’s policy to prioritize owners’ needs by offering full and immediate after-sales service, which is why partnerships have been formed with service centres in all the areas where Blu Emme Yachts navigate. Therefore, in addition to those already operating in the Balearic Islands, Portugal, the United States, Greece and Russia, new agreements will be reached in the coming months to open centres serving the coasts of Croatia and Slovenia in the Adriatic.Credits: Blu Emme Yachts

Sanlorenzo will be presenting the new SX112 at the 2021 Palm Beach International Boat Show, which starts today, March 25th. The yacht will make its official debut on the American market, together with a selection of the latest innovations: the SX76, SD96 and SL96 Asymmetric. The SX112 continues the story that began with the SX88 and then the SX76. The focal point of the project is the new stern area, which is undoubtedly the yacht's iconic space, a choice that gives the project new propositions and living perspectives, the brainchild of architect Luca Santella, who also came up with the concept for the innovative SX crossover line.A conceptual refinement of the SX88 project, this new model offers a spacious beach area of about 90 square meters, which can be extended thanks to the fold-down terraces, consisting of an indoor space, with a gym directly connected to the outside through large sliding glass windows that allow the owners to enjoy these spaces in a new way, maximising the connection between indoor and outdoor. She also features a large platform where toys can be hosted and which allows direct contact with the sea. One totally new innovation on the SX112 is the position of the engine room, which, for the first time, has been located under the stern platform, making it possible to recover 40 square meters of space on board. The design of the new crossover model was once again entrusted to the creativity of Bernardo Zuccon (Studio Zuccon International Project) for the exterior lines and Piero Lissoni for the interiors of the first unit. The main deck is designed as an open space that reinterprets the concept of areas inside the boat, developing into a single, continuous environment from stern to bow, with the living area adjacent to the bar area and followed by a dining area, seamless tieng inside and out (thanks also to the large windows that overlook the sea). This solution, which maximises the relationship with the open-air spaces, was introduced by Sanlorenzo for the first time on the SX88, thanks to the helm station located on the fly bridge, which keeps the area on deck free forward of the saloon, making it possible to create a single environment."The SX112 is another empirical model, like every new model we work on with Sanlorenzo. In this case we have brought an even more architectural attitude: it is a floating building. We have connected the spaces exactly as in a building through very technological openings that relate the inside to the outside and vice versa. In fact, we have built a villa that floats," said Piero Lissoni. Sanlorenzo was founded in 1985 in Viareggio by yacht builder Gionvanni Jannetti. In 2005, Massimo Perrotti became the majority shareholder in the shipyard. Sanlorenzo builds yachts ranging from 28.60m to 62m in length. Credits: Sanlorenzo

Italy’s CRN is building the fully custom CRN M/Y 142 yacht. The all-aluminium megayacht was designed by the CRN Technical Office in partnership with Omega Architects, for the concept and exterior lines, and Massari Design for the interiors. For the CRN M/Y 142, the shipyard’s engineers made the vessel fuel efficient, optimised the hull and appendages to reduce drag. Weight reduction has been a priority, using special light materials and an aluminium hull and superstructure. The hull was positioned in early march, and construction is progressing at the Ancona yard. After the structural work and pre-fitting is completed throughout, the interior carpentry will begin, the engines will be installed, and preparations for the exterior painting will be made. The new yacht has a 52m in length and 9m in the beam, with a streamlined low profile and near-vertical bow.The overall design creates a striking interplay between the external areas and the interiors. Large full height windows add to the strong sense of space, in intimate touch with the sea. The four-deck layout features one owner suite and four VIP cabins for up to ten guests.CRN is currently building another three bespoke yachts: the 62m CRN M/Y 138, the 72m CRN M/Y 139, and the 60m CRN M/Y 141.CRN is a historic shipyard and Ferretti Group brand and company that designs and builds fully custom 45m to 95m steel and aluminium yachts. It was founded in 1963 in Ancona, Italy. The Ancona yard spans over 80,000 square meters and boasts a large historic private marina looking out on the Adriatic, where all the CRN megayachts are made. The fleet now numbers over 400 seagoing vessels, plus several aluminium and light-alloy models built for other Ferretti Group brands. Credit: CRN
